We specialize isCalifornia native animals consisting of Cougar, bear, bobcat, birds, squirrel, deer, coyote, raccoons, fox, California desert tortoise, water fowl, a variety of birds of prey.

Merced has two sister city in Albury Australia and Somoto Nicaragua. Our zoo houses non native animals that are native to our sister cities like white faced capuchin Monkeys, emu, tortoise, black swan, finches, diamond doves.

Kiddie Corral

A small petting area where kids can can get a close encounter with some of our smaller animals like chickens, rabbits, ducks, tortoise, alpaca and guinea pig.

Kiddie corral is ran by volunteers, Kiddie corral is only open if volunteers are available. If you would like to volunteer please pick up an application at the zoo gift shop.

Goat FEeding

Friendly (and hungry) goats can be fed with goat food for sale at the zoo’s gift shop until the day’s supply runs out.
