Uncover Wild Wonders in Central California
Since 1962, Applegate Park Zoo has been home to many rescued and rehabilitated wild animals in need of a safe place to live. Currently, the zoo houses over 75 native California mammals, birds, and reptiles. No longer able to survive independently in their normal habitat, these ambassadors from the wild receive needed care and protection from the zoo. In return, they provide zoo visitors with a glimpse of the wonders of nature.
